Download the 4TS app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and tap "Sign Up." Enter your email address, create a password, and provide your date of birth. You must be 18 or older to register. Follow the prompts to build your profile β add photos, a bio, and select your mode (4TS or 4Keeps). Once complete, you can start discovering people near you.
To delete your account: go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, photos, and matches within 30 days. If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it β you must also cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play to stop future billing. If you need help, email support@4ts.app.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter the email address associated with your account. We'll send you a password reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes. If you signed up with Apple ID or Google, you'll need to reset your password through those services β not through 4TS directly.
Accounts are suspended or banned for violations of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. If you believe your account was suspended in error, email support@4ts.app with your account email and a brief explanation. We review appeals on a case-by-case basis. Note that accounts banned for serious violations (harassment, scamming, CSAM) are not eligible for reinstatement.
Go to your Profile and tap "Switch Sides." You'll see a confirmation warning before the switch happens. Important: switching sides deletes all your current matches, messages, and likes. It's a clean slate on the new side. There's also a cooldown period between switches based on your subscription tier (Free: 30 days, Streets Pass: 14 days, Real One: 7 days, 4TS Black: unlimited).
Subscriptions & Billing
4TS+ unlocks premium features that enhance your experience on the app. The exact features available with a subscription are listed in the app at the time of purchase. Premium features may include unlimited signals, advanced filters, profile boosts, read receipts, and more. The free tier gives you access to core discovery and messaging features.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play β not directly through 4TS. To cancel:
iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > 4TS > Cancel Subscription.
Android: Open Google Play > tap your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > 4TS > Cancel.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by 4TS directly. To request a refund:
Google: Visit the Google Play Help Center and submit a refund request for the purchase.
Refund eligibility is determined by Apple's or Google's refund policies.
Deleting your 4TS account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed separately through Apple or Google. If you deleted your account but forgot to cancel through the App Store or Google Play, you may continue to be charged. Cancel your subscription through those platforms immediately, and contact their support for potential refund of any charges after account deletion.
Safety & Reporting
To report a user: open their profile or conversation and tap the three-dot menu (β¦) in the top right corner. Select "Report" and choose the reason that best describes the violation. You can also block the user at the same time. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. For urgent safety concerns, also email safety@4ts.app.
Open the user's profile or conversation, tap the three-dot menu, and select "Block." Once blocked, that user will not be able to see your profile, send you messages, or interact with you in any way. They will not be notified that you blocked them. You can view and manage your blocked list in Settings > Privacy > Blocked Users.
Sending unsolicited explicit content is a serious violation of our Community Guidelines. Report the user immediately using the in-app report button and select "Explicit/Unwanted Content." Block the user. We take these reports seriously β users found to be sending unsolicited explicit content face immediate account termination. You can also email safety@4ts.app with details.
If someone is asking you for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or personal financial information β stop all contact immediately. Do not send anything. Report the profile in-app as a "Scam/Fraud" and email safety@4ts.app with details. You should also report the incident to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Remember: legitimate users on 4TS will never ask you for money.
Privacy & Data
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you. To request a copy, email privacy@4ts.app with the subject line "Data Access Request" and the email address associated with your 4TS account. We will respond within 30 days and provide your data in a portable format.
You can delete your account (and your data) directly in the app under Settings > Account > Delete Account. Profile data, photos, and messages are deleted within 30 days. For a specific data deletion request, email privacy@4ts.app. Note: some data may be retained to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers that help us operate the app (such as Supabase for our database, RevenueCat for subscriptions, and Expo for push notifications), and as required by law. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide us. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings:
Note: disabling location will prevent distance-based discovery features from working. You can also manually set your location within the app under Settings > Discovery > Location.
Technical Issues
Try these steps in order:
Force-close the app and reopen it
Check for app updates in the App Store or Google Play and install the latest version
Restart your device
Uninstall and reinstall the app (your account data is saved)
Ensure your device OS is up to date
If the issue persists, email support@4ts.app with your device model, OS version, and a description of when the crash occurs.
If you're not receiving notifications, check:
That notifications are enabled for 4TS in your device settings (Settings > Notifications > 4TS)
That notification preferences are enabled within the app (Settings > Notifications)
That Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is not blocking notifications
That your device has a stable internet connection
Try logging out and back in to refresh your notification token. If issues persist, contact support@4ts.app.
Photo issues are usually related to permissions or connection. Try:
Ensure 4TS has permission to access your Photos (Settings > Privacy > Photos > 4TS)
Check your internet connection β switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data
Ensure photos are in a supported format (JPG, PNG) and under 10MB
Update the app to the latest version
If photos still won't upload, email support@4ts.app with your device model and OS version.
